Tetrosomus gibbosus

The humpback turretfish (''Tetrosomus gibbosus''), also known as the helmet cowfish, camel cowfish and thornbacked boxfish,〔LiveAquaria: ''(Helmet Cowfish (Tetrasomus gibbosus) ).'' Retrieved 19 June 2015.〕 is a species of boxfish native to the Indo-West Pacific, but also established in the Mediterranean Sea via Lessepsian migration.〔Spanier, E., and Goren, M. (1988). ''An Indo-Pacific trunkfish Tetrosomus gibbosus (Linnaeus): first record of the family Ostracionidae in the Mediterranean.'' Journal of Fish Biology 32(5): 797–798.〕 It is mainly found at depths of on slopes or over muddy bottoms, but can sometimes be seen near shallow seagrass beds. It reaches up to in length, but is more common at around .〔 Like other boxfish, its flesh is poisonous.〔 It feeds on a wide variety of invertebrates and algae.〔
It occasionally makes its way into the aquarium trade, but is difficult to keep.〔〔
